londonderry farewell
Captain McKeown, an officer of insight and good will, gives his reader an exciting account of the “Troubles” in Northern Ireland during the 1970’s. My husband, a military veteran himself, found Londonderry Farewell an historically important and accessible read. I give Londonderry Farewell 5 stars!

londonderry farewell
The stories of the closeness of teams and families in the military in spite of political differences or hardships rang true and was very nostalgic to me. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good story rooted in historical facts.

londonderry farewell
A very interesting aspect of problems facing the USN during the closing of a Naval base. What you want to do versus what you are ordered to do, while maintaining a common rapport with the citizens of Northern Ireland. Extremely entertaining.
